Sriracha Caramel Halloumi Air Fryer Bites

These crispy, golden halloumi bites are beyond heavenly. Ready in 10 mins they're the perfect treat to enjoy with a couple glasses of your favourite festive tipple. 

Time: 10 minutes

Serves: 2-4

Level: super duper easy :)

Suitiable for: vegetarian

Ingredients:
  • 200g halloumi, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 3 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Chimac Sriracha Caramel sauce
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs (panko works great)
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds (white or black, or a mix)
  • Spray oil (olive or vegetable oil)
Recipe:
  1. Prepare the Coatings:

    • Place the cornflour in a shallow bowl.
    • In a second bowl, whisk the egg.
    • In a third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and sesame seeds.
  2. Dredge the Halloumi:

    • Coat each halloumi piece in cornflour, shaking off any excess.
    • Dip it into the egg, ensuring it’s fully coated.
    • Roll it in the breadcrumb and sesame seed mix, pressing gently to adhere.
  3. Preheat and Arrange:

    • Preheat the air fryer to 180°C 
    • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil to prevent sticking.
    • Arrange the halloumi bites in the basket in a single layer, leaving space between each piece. Do not overcrowd.
  4. Cook:

    • Spray the top of the bites lightly with oil.
    • Air fry for 6 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  5. Serve:

    • Remove the bites from the air fryer and let them cool slightly.
    • Serve warm with Sriracha Caramel drizzled atop or served on the side to dunk
